Scratch Boards
The process of making scratchboards is quiet and calming. Inks and watercolors are pooled and layered on the clay surface. Scratch tools then reduce and refine the images. Additive marks are then layered over the image to sharpen details.
Most of the scratch boards depict cultural spaces, environments and imaginary people and creatures who inhabit or abandon these settings.
